The Museum's Journal of Country Music began publishing in 1971, and as such is the oldest outlet for serious writing about the history and culture of country music. Many distinguished writers have contributed to the Journal, helping to build its reputation for publishing some of the most eloquent and thoroughly researched articles available on music.

The Journal of Country Music existed as a print publication until 2007 (volume 25, number 2). Back issues can be ordered here

Now the spirit and tradition of the magazine have been transferred to our Web site. The Journal's new online content incorporates media elements such as film and audio clips from the Museum's collection.

New articles will be posted here. To receive Journal updates, subscribe to our RSS feed.
